North Carolina and South Carolina Weather Alert: Freeze Warning in Asheville, Frost Risk in Charlotte Until Sunday 10 AM

Greenville, SC – A sharp drop in overnight temperatures is prompting weather alerts across the Carolinas, with freeze warnings and frost advisories in effect through 10 a.m. Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg office, a freeze warning is in place for western North Carolina, including Asheville and surrounding mountain areas. Temperatures are expected to fall to the upper 20s and low 30s, potentially damaging unprotected plants and crops.

Frost advisories extend across the North Carolina foothills and Piedmont region, including Charlotte, Hickory, and Concord, where lows may range from 33°F to 36°F.
