Cold front moving in Tuesday afternoon

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures are much warmer this morning, with wake-up temperatures in the low 60s. We will see a few more clouds today with partly sunny with breezy conditions remaining. A cold front will move through throughout the late morning and early afternoon. It will have a little moisture, but only a spotty shower is expected.

Tonight, temperatures will tumble with cold air advection behind the front. Temperatures will dip back to the mid and upper-40s. Wednesday and Thursday are the coolest days of the workweek, but it will still be nice and comfortable, and we’ll see highs in the upper 60s at the coast and low to mid-70s inland. The fire weather risk will be elevated for today and tomorrow due to low humidity and breezy conditions.

Friday and the weekend will see a deep upper-level high pressure settle across the South, allowing temperatures to heat to above-average levels and humidity to increase. A great beach weekend is ahead with temperatures near 80 at the coast and upper 80s inland…
