Which Myrtle Beach, SC grocery has the cheapest eggs and dye? We checked four stores

Easter is almost here and for many families around the Grand Strand that means it’s time to dye and hunt for colorful eggs. If you’re on the hunt for the best prices in Myrtle Beach, we rounded up costs for eggs and coloring kits at four popular grocery stores.

To compare prices for budget-conscious shoppers, we looked at store-brand grade A large white eggs. We visited four Myrtle Beach locations of popular grocery chains within five miles of each other:

  • Food Lion at 7631 N. Kings Highway

  • Kroger at 9610 N. Kings Highway

  • Publix at 7925 N. Kings Highway

  • Walmart Supercenter at 10820 Kings Road

At $2.86, Walmart’s 6-count egg cartons were the cheapest among the four stores. Walmart also had the least expensive of 12-count eggs, at $4.97 per carton. For 18-count egg cartons, Food Lion had the cheapest option with packs for $7.19.
