Retired Horry Co. teacher takes on Mt. Everest to honor former student

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A retired Horry County teacher took on another world-famous landmark to support a foundation in his former student’s memory.

James Brown climbed to Base Camp at Mt. Everest, the world’s tallest mountain. He and his crew displayed a Coastal Carolina University (CCU) flag when they got there.
