SUNSET BEACH, N.C. (WNCN) — For the third time in just a month, an alligator at the North Carolina coast surprised folks and the animal had to be removed by officers.
Twice in April, alligators caused problems in the Brunswick County town of Southport. In one case, a small alligator climbed a fence and headed toward a busy road.
About three weeks later, a large alligator — up to 14 feet long — was on a Southport street when officers were called. But, when police arrived, the big gator was in a home’s backyard and was eventually caught…
