MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The humidity is back at the beach this morning. Current dewpoints are in the low and mid-60s. We will feel the moisture in the air today. Temperatures are also 2 degrees to 5 degrees warmer than yesterday morning.
More clouds will filter from the west throughout the day, along with a few scattered light showers and an isolated storm. Today is the Myrtle Beach Classic pro-am at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club. That event will begin at 6:30 a.m., when temperatures will be in the mid-60s. By the afternoon, temperatures will return to the upper 70s with a mix of sun and clouds, and we’ll just be watching for a shower.
Thursday’s temperature forecast is the same, with more clouds and rain chances continuing to creep up. Thursday will be stormier than Wednesday, with the afternoon the most active window. This unsettled weather pattern is driven by a cut-off low-pressure system in the Deep South. The system will be slow to progress, which will keep rain chances elevated into the weekend.
