Footage shows man shoot person in thigh near Myrtle Beach, police say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man has been charged with attempted murder after surveillance footage showed him shooting someone in the thigh with a Smith and Wesson handgun, police records show.

Carlos Cruz-Hernandez, 43, was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center early Sunday morning, where he remains as of this writing without bond.
