Former Horry County school aide accused of shaking nonverbal child with autism

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A former school aide in Horry County is being accused of yelling at and shaking a nonverbal child with autism.

Jail records state that Horry County police charged 53-year-old Richard Lowman with cruelty to children on Monday.

Lowman began working as a special education aide at Daisy Elementary School in the Loris area in November of last year.
