HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Following a string of severe storms Friday night, several Horry County roads are blocked by downed trees and debris.
82nd Parkway
A section of 82nd Parkway is currently closed due to a downed tree. The Myrtle Beach Fire Department and the Myrtle Beach Police Department are responding. The fallen tree is entangled with other trees, making removal unsafe at this time. The road will be closed until daylight. Traffic is being detoured from 82nd Parkway onto Nigels Drive to Rourk Street.
Middle Ridge Avenue
Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR) said a downed tree is blocking traffic near Middle Ridge Avenue between Myrtle Ridge Drive and West Perry Road.
Crews were dispatched to the scene at 6:45 p.m.
They are working to remove the downed tree with the assistance of the Horry County Police Department.
