South Carolina ranks as one of the top 10 states for this real estate reason

A new metric by Realtor.com shows that South Carolina ranks number seven for highest percentage of price cuts for homes already on the market.

According to data from the company, in April 2025, almost 21% of homes listed for sale in South Carolina saw a price cut.

The Myrtle Beach metro area also saw a price-reduced share of 21.4% in April, corporate communications director Sara Wiskerchen said. Horry County saw a price-reduced share of 21.4% as well.
