Horry County planners to consider 350-home development near state line

Horry County’s planning commission on Thursday, June 5, will consider a rezoning request that would allow for 350 new homes to be built near the state line on Highway 57 North.

The planning commission held a workshop Thursday, May 29, where an initial review was given for a rezoning and planned development district to redevelop 157 acres in the Little River area to allow for 250 single-family homes and 150 townhomes.

The two parcels would be rezoned from rural to rural communities in the Horry County Imagine 2040 Comprehensive Plan, if the rezoning request is approved.
