Man accused of trying to rob someone of cigarettes, kicking Myrtle Beach officer

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A 44-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to rob someone of cigarettes while he was armed with two knives and kicking a Myrtle Beach officer, police records obtained by News13 show.

Dale McTaggart was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and assault while resisting arrest. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Sunday, where he remains as of this writing on a $200,000 bond.
