HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An Horry County resident whose family of four is now displaced after a large tree fell on their home Tuesday morning says the incident “felt like an earthquake.”
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the incident in the Forestbrook area around 5:15 a.m.
“Since we live so close to the airport, I was like, ‘Maybe an airplane crashed or something,’” homeowner Huong Lam said. “I know it’s outrageous, but I was half asleep. So, that was my first thought because it was a very loud noise. The whole house was — it felt like an earthquake.”…
