Cameras caught man charged with firing shots after deadly Myrtle Beach shooting, docs show

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – New documents WMBF News received are giving more details on the arrest of a man charged with firing shots right after a deadly officer-involved shooting in Myrtle Beach.

An affidavit states that on April 26, officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to a shot spotter gun detection alert in the area of the Pavilion Lot by 8th Avenue North and North Ocean Boulevard. Officers said they found three casings next to the sidewalk.

After reviewing city cameras, police said they saw the suspect, identified later as 18-year-old Jawarran Bethea, walking south on the west side of North Ocean Boulevard…
