Myrtle Beach Police on scene to relocate black bear from tree after public calls

A black bear sighting prompted a police response when the animal was seen running around Myrtle Beach on Sunday morning.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to a call about the bruin in the area of Ninth Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard just before 6 a.m. Shortly after the initial report, another call came in alerting responders that the bear had climbed into a tree in the area of Oak Street and Eight Avenue South.
