Mostly dry with hot temperatures

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Similar to yesterday, temperatures are mild this morning in the low and mid-70s. We will be warming quickly throughout the day. Temperatures will be slightly above average in the upper 80s at the coast and low 90s inland. It will feel much hotter today, mid-90s for the Grand Strand and upper 90s in the Pee Dee.

It will be mostly sunny for the majority of the day, with just a few storms in the afternoon and evening. Partly cloudy and mid-70s tonight. It will continue to get very hot during the middle of the week, with heat alerts likely to come. Temperatures will be near 90 at the beach, with the heat index in the upper-90s. Triple-digit heat is expected in the Pee Dee through the middle of the week.
