MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – We are ending our Sunday on a much drier note. Most of the last several days, many of us picked up several rounds of showers and thunderstorms across the area. Today wasn’t as widespread. Some saw showers and storms, but a lot of dry areas as well. Tonight we will remain warm and humid. Lows falling into the low to mid 70s.
Monday and Tuesday, will feature warm and humid conditions. That daily chance of seeing storms fire up. First near the coast, and then working inland as the afternoon goes on. Some areas could see some stronger storms featuring heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. Much like Sunday, storms will be a little more isolated. Highs will be warming into the upper 80s to low 90s along the coast. In the Pee Dee and and border belt, we will see temperatures in the low to mid 90s.
As we push into the mid to end of the week, we will see more sunshine. Heat will build into the area. Highs will be in the mid 90s inland, low 90s at the coast. Humidity will continue to be high, so we could see triple digit heat indices across the area. We will watch for potential heat advisories. Storm chances will be relatively low across the area…
