HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A man serving a life sentence after being convicted of murder in a 2023 shooting outside a Carolina Forest Planet Fitness is appealing his conviction and sentence, documents show.
Abdullah Seifullah was convicted earlier this month of murder in the June 2023 killing of David Roldan-Dimas, 20, of York County, and sentenced to life in prison. Seifullah’s attorney filed the appeal on June 11, and it was received by the South Carolina Court of Appeals on June 16.
Seifullah’s co-defendant, Branden Huertas, 43, of Trumbull, Connecticut, pleaded guilty after Seifullah’s conviction to accessory after the fact of murder. He was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Michael G. Nettles to 15 years in prison, the maximum sentence for the charge.
However, Nettles suspended Huertas’ sentence to 10 years of prison and three years of probation, which includes requirements such as mental health treatment, drug and alcohol treatment, and counseling during his probation, the solicitor’s office said…
