MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Morning temperatures are starting in the 70s once again. We will have mostly clear skies and a nice sunrise to start the day.
Humidity will remain high and uncomfortable today, with a heat index of nearly 100 degrees. There are no heat advisories in effect. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90 at the coast and mid-90s inland.
Most of the day will be dry, but the whole area is under a level 1 risk of severe weather today as a weak cold front will provide some lift late this afternoon and evening, allowing scattered storms to push west to east across the area. The main timing is 4-10 p.m. Northern Scotland and Robeson counties have a slight risk (level 2). There is no tornado threat, and we are just watching for gusty winds…
