HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The attorney of a man accused of taking part in a Little River mass shooting earlier this month is speaking out for the first time, insisting 19-year-old Shawon Williams had nothing to do with the violence.
“The immediate aftermath, as you can imagine, there’s a lot going on there. A lot of people were fleeing the scene trying to get away, and Mr. Williams ended up with this juvenile in his vehicle during all of that,” O’Brien Martin said Monday. “At that time, he had no knowledge that the juvenile had any responsibility for the shooting.”
