Thunderstorms could end the Myrtle Beach heat wave. Here’s what we know

One of the worst heatwaves in recent history is expected to end with a big storm and potentially lots of lightening, according to weather forecasts.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, NC, Wednesday afternoon thunderstorms could be strong or severe.

A level two warning has been issued for inland areas of northeastern South Carolina whereas the Myrtle Beach coastline is at a lesser level one warning. That means that there’s a marginal risk for a severe thunderstorm to hit the coast on Wednesday afternoon, the NWS forecast said…
