Caribbean jerk festival spices up Chapin Park with flavors and fun

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The vibrant flavors and lively beats of the Caribbean took center stage at Chapin Park as the annual jerk festival celebrated its fifth year.

It was previously held in downtown Myrtle Beach, but the festival relocated due to construction, bringing a taste of the islands to its new venue.

Event director Lisa Coombs highlighted the diverse offerings, saying, “From the natural soaps, and the natural body wash, to the Caribbean flavors and food. The jerk, the ox tail, the curry goat, you know. And then we have the pineapple, the pineapple infusion. So we have different flavors here at the jerk festival.”…
