Witness to deadly Peaches Corner shooting recounts ‘shocking’ scene

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Amber Atkinson and her husband were on vacation in Myrtle Beach when shots cracked through the Friday night air at one of the city’s landmarks.

“I just stood there for a second, kind of shocked,” Atkinson told News13 on Sunday. “We were literally right across the street from it.”

Police have charged 17-old Evany McCray of Conway with multiple felonies including murder and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Authorities said McCray was working at the iconic eatery when a verbal altercation broke out around 11:15 p.m…
