State troopers, SCDNR officials out in full for Fourth of July weekend

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will be out in full force over the holiday weekend looking for drunk and distracted drivers.

Cpl. David Jones with the Highway Patrol said you will go to jail or face fines if they catch you drinking, on your phone, speeding or not wearing a seat belt.

SCHP said 31 people have died so far this year in Horry County crashes and nearly 400 people have died across the entire state…
