MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — After experimenting with a tighter juvenile curfew that runs through Monday, Myrtle Beach leaders may soon take steps toward making the change permanent.
A wave of violence in some of the city’s most well-known areas including Ocean Boulevard is prompting official to take a closer look at the rule, which after Monday returns to its midnight to 6 a.m.
On July 1 the city said it was extending the youth curfew, with a 10 p.m. start time in its central business district. A resolution on Tuesday’s city council agenda would codify the move.
