WBTW (MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – Well Tropical Storm Chantal has exited the region. Thankfully we did not receive any major damage. Some areas along the Grand Strand did experience some trees down. Flooding occurred in Loris. Anywhere between 2-5″ of rain fell across the entire region. Winds gusts up to 60 mph.
Tonight, showers and breezy conditions will start to exit the region. We should see partly cloudy skies overnight. Temperatures will be very warm and humid. Lows falling into mid 70s around the coast. Inland temperatures will fall into the low 70s.
As we go into the week, we will see a return to the heat. Temperatures around the coast will range in the upper 80s to low 90s. Heat index values will be between 98 – 104 through the week. It is possible some heat advisories could be issued. Storms will be possible each and every afternoon. The primary stormy days looks to be Thursday and Friday…
