Ambulance Crew Blocks Traffic For Small Gator Crossing South Carolina Road

A fire rescue crew in South Carolina tried their hand at traffic enforcement over the weekend after spotting a small alligator in the road.

Horry County Fire Rescue said a crew was returning from a medical call when they spotted a small alligator blocking lanes of traffic on Old Reaves Ferry Road, just northeast of Conway.

Photos shared by the fire department show the ambulance crew “guarding the gator” and blocking traffic until South Carolina Department of Natural Resources personnel could respond to the scene. Wildlife officials relocated the alligator to a more suitable habitat…
