Myrtle Beach Fire unveils aerial truck to boost Market Common emergency response

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — It’s out with the old, and in with the new at Myrtle Beach Fire Department’s Station Four in the Market Common.

A new aerial truck is now in service for the department, and is actually the first of many types of trucks to be in the fire stations across the Grand Strand.

Aerial trucks are designed for rescues, especially in high-rise buildings, as well as ventilation and elevation to get to floors that may be hard to reach by foot in an emergency situation…
