Stranger gifts Myrtle Beach family puppy after losing dog in alligator attack

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A stranger is helping a Myrtle Beach family put the pieces back together after losing their dog in an alligator attack.

Bob Carnes said he and his wife, Jen, are still grieving their German Shepherd Nova after last month’s devastating attack along the Intracoastal Waterway.

However, they received a Facebook message from a Conway woman, after a WMBF News story aired, insisting that the family meet her 6-week-old female Dutch Shepherd, Kai.

Carnes said getting another dog so soon never crossed their minds, but meeting Kai felt just right…
