The Myrtle Beach area has been experiencing above-average heat and humidity for the past week — but forecasters say a cool down is coming.
The National Weather Service last week issued a heat advisory for the area, when heat index values climbed to over 105 degrees. For the past six days, the weather service has recorded heat index values in the 105 degree range — far above average for this time of year.
