MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach-based kratom supplier failed to warn a customer about hazardous side effects from a strain being used to help his seizure condition — leading to the man’s death, a newly filed lawsuit alleges.
Vincent Gerard Logan, 32, died after being found unresponsive in the kitchen of his family’s Warrenton, Va. home on Aug. 15, 2023, his seizure complicated by use of the product he obtained through YoKratom, an online vendor based in Myrtle Beach, the wrongful death complaint says.
“Defendants represented to Vincent, and continue to represent to current consumers, that their kratom products are all-natural supplements that are legal to sell in the United States,” the lawsuit says.
