SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Surfside Beach leaders on Tuesday ended nearly a year’s worth of work to overhaul its vape shop regulations, approving an ordinance that limits how, where and when they can operate.
The unanimous vote restricts dispensaries and similar businesses from being located within 1,000 feet of schools, churches and residences. They’re also not permitted along Business 17 that runs through the center of town.
“It may sound really restrictive, but we made sure that there are some parcels that are zoned properly that this business could take place,” Mayor Robert Krouse told News13 last month…
