HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Six people were displaced Friday morning after a home caught fire off Highway 90 in Horry County, authorities said.
Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched at 10:14 a.m. to Climbing Vine Court after an apparent explosion in the garage that sent smoke spreading throughout the house. The fire caused “significant damage” to the home, but no one was hurt, and fire personnel rescued two cats that were provided with masks and oxygen.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Horry County police assisted at the scene.
