Horry Co. road rage shooting led to Surfside Beach traffic stop arrest, report says

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Authorities have released details and identified the man arrested Thursday following a “high-risk” traffic stop in Surfside Beach.

Cory Hall, 35, of Myrtle Beach, has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including two counts of assault and battery and discharging a firearm into a vehicle while occupied following a road rage incident, warrants say.

The Horry County Police Department responded to a shooting near mile marker 11N on Highway 31 around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
