HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 2-year-old boy died last week after drowning in a Surfside Beach-area pool, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said.
Bennett Thompson was pulled out of his family’s swimming pool on July 21 and taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where he died of asphyxiation from drowning, Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said.
