Lawyer of longtime girlfriend of man killed at North Myrtle Beach restaurant hopes to ‘bring final closure’

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — The lawyer who represents the girlfriend of a Nacho Hippo employee who was killed at the North Myrtle Beach restaurant in 2022 claims the tragedy was preventable.

Lafredia Todd was given a 36-year sentence for shooting and killing Quentin Johnson, 26. A recently filed 17-page lawsuit has named the restaurant and 10 others, claiming all failed to recognize or respond to her threatening behavior that ended in bloodshed.

Johnson leaves behind a now 4-year-old son.

“Our main purpose in bringing this is to vindicate Mr. Johnson and help look out for his son, who lost his father unnecessarily in a senseless act of violence,” attorney Andrew McCumber said…
