CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — The City of Conway took a significant step in flood prevention by approving the installation of new water level sensors in flood-prone areas, including the Waccamaw River at the River Walk, Kingston Lake at the railroad trestle, Crabtree Swamp at North Main Street, and Church Street and El Bethel.
June Wood, the city’s Public Information Officer, explained the importance of the new sensors.
