‘Not fair to my family:’ Spivey’s sister accuses South Carolina attorney general of politicizing high-profile death

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson on Wednesday ruled the 2023 road rage killing of Scott Spivey in Horry County by a North Myrtle Beach businessman was self-defense.

Wilson made his finding public in a news release, saying the state’s stand your ground law was applicable after a “thorough review of the investigative file” provided by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
