Shower and storm chances continue

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)–Sunday brings us a better chance to see showers and storms. Many of us are waking up to a light rain, the precipitation will be more widespread this afternoon. Heavier rainfall amounts are possible in storms, accumulating 1-3″. This could bring about some isolated flooding concerns across the Grand Strand. Showers will last off-and-on into the evening hours. Temperatures are staying mild in the mid-80s. Tonight we dip into the 70s.

Monday brings us another round of scattered showers highs will once again stay slightly below normal. The chance for showers lasts through next week, with plenty of dry time as well. We see more sun by mid-week. A gradual warm up, with highs back into the lower-90s and upper-80s by the end of the week.

A tropical wave has formed off the west coast of Africa, this is still unorganized as of Sunday morning. There is a 70% chance for development in the next week. Right now it is too early to say the exact path that this could move, as always we will continue to monitor the system…
