2 sentenced in 2023 death of Horry County mother

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An Aynor man pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder on Thursday for a 2023 shooting that killed a mother of three and left one of her daughters injured, according to the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Dimik Stevenson, 20, is the third person to be sentenced in the May 2023 shooting where Sadiyya Salim, 40, was killed, and one of her daughters was injured at a home on Plantation Drive in Little River. He faces two 30-year prison terms and will not be eligible for parole.

Hayley Taylor, one of Stevenson’s co-defendants, also pleaded guilty on Thursday, but for the charge of accessory after the fact to murder. She was sentenced to 7 years in prison…
