HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A flood warning is in place from the North Carolina state line to Conway due to elevated water levels in the Waccamaw River.
Horry County Emergency Management officials said Saturday the Waccamaw appears to have crested in the Longs area and continues to fall, though gauges near Conway show the river has reached moderate flood stage at 12 feet.
“Those immediately along the river, near swamps and creeks should continue to monitor water levels,” the county said in a Facebook post. “If a road is closed due to flooding, do not drive around the barricades.”…
