Horry County first day of school safety reminders: In the classroom and on the roads

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County’s first day of school brings excitement to many teachers, students, and their families, but they can only have a successful school year if it’s a safe one.

On Monday, local law enforcement plans to enforce safety laws and help people on one of the busiest days of the year. Through message boards and on social media, authorities want to remind drivers of school speed zones and to be patient and plan.
