HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Knowing your evacuation zone is one of the most important things you can do ahead of major storms and hurricanes.
Here’s the breakdown of each evacuation zone in the Horry County area, according to Horry County Government:
ZONE A
- Areas east of House Creek from the S.C./N.C. state line to the center of Cherry Grove Beach, with minor fluctuations inland
- Areas east of Hillside Drive and Ocean Boulevard and east of Highway 17 Business in Briarcliffe Acres
- Areas east of Kings Road and down Ocean Boulevard to Springmaid Beach
- Areas east of U.S. Business 17 (S Kings Highway) from Myrtle Beach State Park to the Georgetown County line, with coastal fluctuations in Surfside Beach and Garden City
ZONE B
- Areas east of Highway 17 from Little River to Atlantic Beach
- Areas east of U.S. Business 17 (Kings Highway) from the U.S. Hwy 22 interchange to Springmaid Beach
- Areas east of U.S. Business 17 from 16th Ave N to Vista Dr. in Surfside Beach
- Areas between the Georgetown County line, TPC Blvd., Highway 707 and Highway 17
ZONE C
- Areas between Highway 701 and Highway 544, with some fluctuations to Myrtle Beach International Airport and Waccamaw Boulevard
