Horry County seeks public input on natural disaster strategies

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Horry County wants the public’s input to help it better prepare for natural disasters.

The Horry County Community Hazard Mitigation survey allows residents and visitors to provide feedback on it’s Hazard Mitigation Plan draft to help reduce the impact of natural disasters, such as hurricanes, flooding and wildfires.

Horry County is currently updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is done every five years. It’s required by FEMA in order to get mitigation funding…
