Traffic woes plague new Horry Co. charter school in first week

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — You could say some lessons were learned after school started back in Horry County, for one new school along a once rural road now riddled with congestion.

The opening week of the Discovery School at Myrtle Beach has been marked by significant traffic issues along the SC 90 corridor near International Drive. The new charter school for kindergarten through sixth grade, which opened its doors this week, has faced challenges with traffic congestion during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups.
