MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Charlie’s Place, a historic club and hotel on Carver Street, marked the 75th anniversary of a Ku Klux Klan raid on the establishment Tuesday.
Originally established in the 1930s, it was one of the few places where Black people could stay by the beach during segregation.
