A Myrtle Beach police officer who was investigated following his response to an April 26 shooting incident on Ocean Boulevard that wounded 11 people will not be prosecuted.
According to South Carolina 15th Judicial Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson, MBPD Pfc. Brandon O’Rourke was responding to an “active and potentially deadly” situation when he fired five shots, killing Jerrius Davis, an 18-year-old Bennettsville resident.
