‘On notice:’ Little River party boat owners aware of potential for violence before shooting, lawsuits claim

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Four people shot on a Little River party boat in May are suing its owners, saying they didn’t do enough to ensure the safety of passengers ahead of the violence despite being warned of the possibility.

Kalayla Bufkin, Kamra Bufkin, James Graham and Vince Hanna filed complaints this week in Horry County Common Pleas Court, naming Hurricane Fleet LLC, Little River Campground, Griselda Redd, Jacklyn Bellamy and Meek Bell.

Bellamy and Redd are the mother and aunt respectively of Shawon Shamarion Williams, one of two people facing charges tied to the incident. The other is a 16-year-old whose name has not been made public…
