Cool start to the week after soggy end to weekend

Saturday was hot and dry. Sunday was rainy.

The new week is here and now that Sunday’s front is pushing through the Carolinas, Monday and beyond will be cooler and mostly drier.

Sunday night may still have a few showers with temperatures in the 60s. A breezy wind from the northeast will keep things cool.

Monday will be warm and partly sunny with more clouds along the coast. An isolated coastal shower is possible. Otherwise, expect more sun later into the day, especially inland. Highs will be around 80 degrees.

Through the week, expect morning lows and afternoon highs to be comfortable with temperatures a few degrees below average.

For the Grand Strand, expect lows in the mid to upper 60s with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

For inland zones, expect lows in the lower 60s with highs in the lower 80s.
