Over 200 homes could be built near Conway. What to know about new development

More than 200 homes could be built in the upper-Conway-lower-Aynor area in the coming years.

The Horry County Planning Commission recommended approval for a plan to build 124 single-family homes on a 64.4 acre lot off Brown Swamp Road near U.S. 501, according to county documents. The new development would be located about eight miles from downtown Conway and eight miles from downtown Aynor.

Kingston Engineering, the builders, proposed the subdivision on behalf of Holiday Associates LLC. The development would have about two homes per acre and a pocket park. This would be part of a larger master-planned development, as another 81 homes would be built on 52 acres on the other side of Brown Swamp Road.
